Public Health

Here is the brief update:

I attempted to apply for a Healthiest Wisconsin Partnership Program grant, found that I was not the correct faculty type to be a Principal Investigator. Then, through investigation, I have decided to move clinics in order to become full faculty. I will be doing this after July 1, 2009. I am planning to publish this story..details more later...

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to spend the day in Verona, Wisconsin for the Healthiest Wisconsin 2020 Strategic Leadership team. We were at this MEGA location for Epic Systems. This building was excellent!! In the lecture hall, there was an electrical outlet and a telephone connection. There were microphones which could be shared. As frustrated as I have been with using EPIC, I was truly surprised to see such a great location! All of the workers were dressed in jeans and were all very friendly. I could definitely work there :)

After spending time at the event, I am planning to do the following:

1. explore obtaining another degree, MPH?
2. continue to learn about the leadership in Wisconsin and legislative process.
3. continue to develop my question for research

After the event, I went to the Johnson Creek Outlet Mall and found some great deals! I must go through my old items and give items to Salvation Army. I know that I have some very useful items which someone else can use.

OK, I am going to a brunch today. I have been in my closet all morning, so that is my excuse for not exercising!
